Assessment 3

During the semester of 201260, I was enrolled into MPI104. In this subject I learnt how to take advantage of the features offered by Google. Sign up and maintain a flickr account, blogger page, del.ici.ous page. This was all foreign to me but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Maintaining these pages were what I had to do for assignment 1. My topic for blogger was day to day life- everyday I would take a photo and describe it on my blog. For flickr I decided to share images that were close to me, ranging from my cars to my travels. With delicious I added sites that I used regularly.

For my 2nd assignment we were shown how to build a webpage from scratch. I found this very challenging but rewarding at the same time. I can say that I have built one and that I have a huge amount of respect for web designers and people in the IT field.

For our last assignments we had to maintain our pages with what ever relevant information. I continued my blogger topic, but with my flickr I uploaded photos that were relevant to this subject/ my assignments.

Throughout this semester I have learnt thru practice and reinforcement how to do something then apply it to different situations.

This subject has shown me how to do things, that I can later introduce to future students. This just widens my knowledge which gives me more power as a person and a teacher.

Assessment 2 Blog

For my website I decided to do what I'm passionate about. A lot of people don't understand why I do it but I still consider it fun. My site is about my cars; my current restoration project and my other projects. I made several pages with images and links of photos that I took, also of images that have influenced me.

My Index page introduces me as a person and says something about my back ground, then my current project page shows what I'm working on, my  other page is about what other projects I have. And then I have influential images, because in my mind its easy to see what the cars are going to turn out like, but for others its easier to show them an image rather than explain it.

I have learnt a lot from this experience, ranging from image size and location to the precise nature of code. I am most proud about this assignment for the fact that for not knowing anything about coding or IT, I have managed to produce a working website. What annoys me most out of this experience is not knowing exact codes, I know what I want to do, I just don't know how to do it! But with everything practice does make it easier. I'm looking forward to using my knowledge later on to show kids how easy it is, all you need is patience and perseverance; a very important life lesson.

Another ripper of a day,

This morning when i was having breaky before work,
i looked out of my window

On site again today,
because we are rural we do alot of tractors
here is another one

oh well still works

Sunday

I had my friends 21st party,
and it was a 40's, 50's theme
i had an 'awesome' blue suit jacket,
when i was out i found this poster, it was for elvis presley's heart break hotel,
funny enuff i looked like the guy here

apart from if i had a brawd next to me like that i would be sad!

Saturday

Today we had to fit the tyres

as you can see the size of the machine when compared to my boss,
this machine picks up shipping containers

Friday

I work at a tyre shop,
and today my job was to fit industrial tyres
these tyres cost about $4500 each and weigh a shit tonne,
it took about 45mins per tyre to fit to a rim

I had to go home for work on friday,
so i thought it would be fitting to take a photo in the same place on the drive home
just outside on young

Wednesday

Yes as embarrasing as it is when you find someone wearing your shirt
but when its your female house mate,
then its just sad

Tuesday

Assignment day,
this is part of my assignment for jewellery,
we had to make the box on the lathe, then design a handle
my design was inspired by celtic knots

we had to learn how to use the lathe, this is a version of what we used

For a joke i bought a lazer light

i think its worth the $35, cheap entertainment

Sunday

I like bush walking,
so i tried to organise a bush walk of 'The Rock'
instead of taking the track we decided to go bush, 2 hours and lots of fun

Saturday

The sun was out, so why not enjoy it,
Also my friend finished work at 730, so she came and woke me

Friday

Ok we got a little bit bored, and our cleaner had messed with my room mate so she wanted to get pay back.

This is her attempt at getting her back,
we hid this in her cleaning cupboard

It worked apparently but none of us were here to see her reaction.
